  • Principles of simple rescue.

  • Non-contact swimming rescues.

Assessment Criteria:

  • Oral test covering theoretical knowledge.

  • Demonstration of rescue techniques such as voice contact, use of buoyant objects, throw bags, ring buoys, reaching, and wading rescues.

Certification:
Awarded upon successful completion of assessments.

Overview:
Safety 4 builds upon previous safety courses, emphasizing advanced rescue techniques and emergency response.

  • Demonstration of H.E.L.P. and HUDDLE positions.

  • Treading water for 1 minute with signaling.

  • Swimming 100 meters freestyle after discarding footwear.

  • Disrobing techniques in water.
